Looking To Get Yourself To Seville Spain?

If your interested in visiting Seville, and your wondering about how to get there, then you've come to the right place.  Getting to Seville is pretty easy actually, and they have quite a few options when it comes to getting there.  All the usual suspects are available, including rail, car, bus and and plane. It's a first class world destination that is visited by thousands of people every there, so you can be assured that you'll have plenty of choices for getting there, and they'll all be very reliable.  If your coming from overseas, then your probably going to be looking at flights, unless you plan on sailing to Spain.  Which, is not a bad idea, if you know how to sail.  Whether coming by plane or sail, at some point you will have to hit the road.  Driving yourself, or having someone else drive for you shouldn't be a problem.

If you plan on driving there, you'll be happy to know that all major highways lead to Seville.  It's a about a six hour drive from Madrid heading south by car.  While there are several major highways leading into town (including the 403, and E-5) you may want to consider taking a few of the side roads.  Especially, if it's your first time in the country.  I've always found, that highways around the world look a lot the same, but getting off the beaten track a bit can introduce you to some pretty spectacular sights.  If your a little unsure about wandering too far, then get yourself a good GPS unit for the car.  It's pretty much impossible to get lost with one of those things.

Anyone that's been to Europe, knows how reliable, fast, and clean the rail system can be.  I know for myself, that coming from North America it was a bit of an eye opener the first time I hoped a train in Europe.  As far as I'm concerned, it's one of my favorite ways to travel.  The Santa Justa Station is the main rail station in Seville.  Coming from Madrid is quite a bit quicker by rail, as it cuts the travel time almost in half.  From six hours driving, down to three hours by train.  You also, don't have to worry about getting lost.  Just make sure you take in the view.  Bus is also an option, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Seville airport is a first rate facility, and will have all the conveniences a modern travel would expect.  If your wondering about specific flight tips, then you should refer to this  low cost airline guide.  The airport is about four kilometers from Seville and there are plenty of rental cars, taxis and buses that run between the airport and the city.  I did find some low cost flights to Seville the other day, and it's worth checking out if your seriously considering making the trip.
