There are two major types of transportation methods used when travelling to Russia from Spain. You can get there by boarding a plane or riding a train. Either way, it is imperative that you first obtain a visa way ahead before your scheduled travel to Russia.
Every resident in Spain who wish to travel to Russia, whether for a business trip, leisure travel, or other reasons, must apply for a Russian consulate visa. This is an important and compulsory procedure that must never be overlooked. Without a visa, you won’t be allowed to enter Russia, no matter what mode of transportation you use.
To apply for a Russian visa, you need to visit a Russian Consulate, which can be found in Seville and Barcelona. Russia visa fee and validity will vary greatly depending on the type of visa you are applying for as well as the purpose of travel. If your purpose for travelling to Russia is to sight-see, then you need to get a travel visa (available for single and double entry) which is usually valid up to one month. It is highly advised that you obtain a Russia visa way ahead of time. Keep in mind that it would take 3 to 14 days for the visa to be processed. So, you should visit the official website of the Russian consulate to know what are the requirements needed for the particular type of visa that you will be applying for. Comply with these requirements and then submit your visa application to nearest Russian consulate.
